For families

Seeking help for someone close to you?

You can get in touch even if your loved one is not yet ready to seek help. A specialist can discuss the situation with you, how to start a conversation and what support you need yourself.

How to start

  1. Contact reception

Say that you are seeking rehabilitation help for someone close to you. You do not have to give their name or a diagnosis over the phone.

  2. Agree the format of the conversation

Discuss the date, who will attend and how to prepare with reception.

  3. Bring your questions

How to begin, consent and the family’s role are things you discuss with the specialist.

Support available for loved ones

Individual consultations for loved ones
A chance to discuss your own feelings, exhaustion, worries and difficulties communicating with your loved one.
Family meetings
With the participant’s consent, families work together on relationships, disagreements and ways to support change.
Groups for loved ones
Specialist-led discussions provide space to share experiences, understand dependent behaviour and work on healthy boundaries within the family.

Participation and information sharing require consent

The resident decides what information they consent to share and with whom. Family involvement is planned around their needs and consent.
